Paul writes: I thank God whom I serve, as did my ancestors, with a clear conscience… 2Tim. 1:3
How do you want to be remembered? No matter how well you take care of yourself, one of these days, you too will become an, “Ancestor”. What will they say about how you served the Lord?
People often think of “serving” as “doing”. Unfortunately, you can spend time and energy “serving” but serving won’t give you a clear conscience. No.. you can never gain by “serving”, what you are losing through an unclear conscience.
A clear conscience is knowing that there is no one who can ever stand before God, point a finger at you and say, “He/she did me wrong and never tried to make it right”! [emphasis on “tried”]
As you know we stand on the shoulders of those who have gone before us. How we serve our Master today is so critical for tomorrows leaders.
Beloved, if you have unforgiveness and bitterness in your heart, if you serve with anger… then… your conscience is not clear! Get it cleared up and be an ancestor that served God well enough to be remembered.
