But I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first. Rev. 2:4-5 NASB
When you read the list of things done in the name of the Lord, it’s quite impressive. Jesus noticed their activities… “I know your deeds and your toil…”! He even lists them!
Do you love Jesus? Of course! Look at all I do for Him.. see how busy I am! Since when does my love for Jesus have to include busy ness?? The story of two sisters illustrates the difference between LOVE and BUSY!
Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught. But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.”
But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her. Luke 10
Did you hear that… Being, “Busy" created a mind that was "worried and upset”! Beloved, with all there is to do, it’s so easy to get distracted. Do you spell love, “B-U-S-Y”? What do you need to “let go of”, to get back to your first love?
