Those who gathered a lot had nothing left over, and those who gathered only a little had enough. Each family had just what it needed. Exodus 16:18 NLT
Manna?! “What is it”? That’s right! This could turn into another, “who’s on first”! Manna, [or “what is it”] was the name given to the grain-like wafers that God supplied for Israel for 40 years of desert wandering. So, what was it??
The manna was a daily supply of nutrition and sustanence for the entire family. All they had to do was go out and get it! But they couldn’t store it. Whatever they gathered had to be eaten that same day. Imagine… what if God supplied it, but no one ever gathered it? They would have no energy, and would soon die from malnutrition.
Beloved the manna could be compared to the Word of God. As it is written, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
God supplied His daily Word so that everyone of His children could be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. His Word is never lacking… whether you pick up a lot or a little… it will be just enough for your daily bread.
Imagine… what if God supplied it, but no one ever gathered it? Have you gathered your manna for today?
