Bride of Christ

Dirty liar!

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord:
though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;
though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool
   Isa. 1:18 KJV

Ever catch a kid doing something wrong and ask, “Why did you do that”?   Their facial expressions are worth a picture, but the reasons they give are priceless.   “How did that stuffed rabbit get in the the toilet”?   “He just hopped in there by himself”!  “Where is your homework”?   "The dog ate it right before I left for school”!

We can detect the cute little lies of children!  Unfortunately grown up lies are not so cute!  There is no such thing as a little white lie!   Have you not heard of, “dirty little liars”?   Lies become more elaborate and harder to detect!   We can get so used to the “lies" we give for our attitudes and behavior that we actually start believing its true!

Beloved, our Lord loves us to much to let us live a dirty little lie!    As it is written, “you will know the truth and the truth will set you free”.

Don’t be afraid when the Lord says, “Come now”!   He simply wants to get to the bottom line and... to stop lying to yourself!  God is the Great Lie Detector!   If we would get together with the Lord, and try our reasoning out on Him, it would save us a lot of embarrassment later.

Dear one…the greatest lie is not the one we tell others… it is the lie we tell ourselves.   The good news is that dirty little lies can be cleaned up!    So… Come on now… get together with God… try your REASONING out on Him… What does He say about it?   get to the truth… fess up… clean up… and purpose to... lie no more!
