Job... would get up early in the morning and offer a burnt offering for each of them. For Job said to himself, “Perhaps my children have sinned and have cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular practice. Job 1:5 NLT
"Perhaps my children have sinned"???? Of course they have! But.. Can a man sacrifice for the sins of his children? Well... Yes! And... No!
On the one hand, I cannot redeem the lives of my children... grandchildren... or great grandchildren by paying a RANSOM to God. As it is written, "No man can by any means redeem his brother Or give to God a ransom for him" [Psalm 49:7]
On the other hand... I CAN rise up early in the morning and pray for them. The personal sacrifice of taking time, bringing them to the Lord in prayer can be a regular morning practice.
Do you think praying for family might be worth a REGULAR PRACTICE of your time?
